Team Lead (Python & Java)

About the Role

As a Team Lead at Super Dispatch, you’ll manage 5-10 engineers or team leads while driving the growth of our products. This role requires collaboration across departments—Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, and more. Key responsibilities include people management, team execution, business value delivery, and technical leadership.

With mentorship during onboarding, you’ll align on success criteria and a 3-6-12 month plan to empower your team for rapid growth.

What You’ll Do

1. People Management

   • Coach, mentor, and conduct 1-on-1s.
   • Guide career growth, performance reviews, and team culture.
   • Identify hiring needs, lead recruitment, and onboard new hires.
   • Measure and improve team performance and velocity.

2. Team Execution & Delivery

   • Plan deliverables with Product Managers.
   • Track team efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and clear roadblocks.
   • Validate deliverables and adjust processes to ensure high quality.
   • Align across teams and drive execution improvements.

3. Technical Leadership

   • Oversee production of reliable, maintainable software.
   • Offer hands-on support when needed and set high coding standards.
   • Own the technical roadmap and strategic decisions for your team.
   • Address technical debt with cost-benefit analysis and prioritization.

Minimum Requirements

• Advanced English skills (spoken and written).
• 2+ years managing teams of 5-15 engineers across technologies.
• 5+ years as a software engineer, including 3+ years as a Senior Engineer (Python or Java backend).
• Proven success in delivering large projects and implementing Lean/Agile practices.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, spot bad patterns, and solve scaling challenges.
