Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will oversee inventory management, transportation, and distribution processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Ensure accurate and timely transportation of goods
- Manage inventory levels and perform regular stock audits to minimize shortages or overstocking.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to negotiate contracts and resolve issues.
- Maintain shipping and tracking records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and other regulations.
- Prepare and present logistics performance reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong understanding of inventory management, shipping processes, and warehousing.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as APICS, CSCMP, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Familiarity with import/export documentation and compliance.
