Lead Engineer – Irrigation

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Engineer – Irrigation to join our team for a major agricultural project in Kazakhstan. The role will focus on the design, development, and execution of advanced irrigation infrastructure—including canals, drip systems, and pivot irrigation—for large-scale sugar beet cultivation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement irrigation systems (canals, drip, pivot) tailored to crop and soil requirements.

• Prepare comprehensive irrigation plans, including layouts, hydraulic calculations, and equipment specifications.

• Conduct site assessments: soil analysis, water source evaluation, topographical survey, and climate considerations.

• Select and specify pumps, valves, filters, pipes, and controllers.

• Develop technical drawings, construction plans, and guidelines using CAD and irrigation design software (AutoCAD, Irricad).

• Manage the full irrigation project lifecycle—from feasibility and design to construction oversight and commissioning.

• Supervise construction, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with technical, environmental, and safety standards.

• Coordinate with government bodies, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Monitor system performance post-installation and recommend improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• 8–12 years of experience in large-scale irrigation infrastructure projects.

• Proven expertise in irrigation canals, drip, and pivot systems.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, soil-water-crop interactions, and water resource management.

• Proficiency with irrigation design software, GIS tools, and remote sensing technologies.

• Solid understanding of project management, budgeting, and scheduling.
