Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced DevOps Engineer to work on a large-scale project for our client from Germany.
The customer is a leader in innovation and quality in the automotive infotainment industry. The company offers solutions for multimedia, connectivity, cloud services and security that work across platforms and devices. The company's embedded, mobile applications or cloud services support all digital media scenarios in any industry and on any device. It collaborates with leading automotive manufacturers and component suppliers such as Audi, BMW, Daimler, Ford, Hyundai, Renault, Alpine, Bosch, Continental, Harman, Panasonic and others.
The project is an innovative app designed to simplify the management of media playback across various devices and media providers. This project's primary goal is to seamlessly integrate with popular media providers such as Apple Music, Spotify, Netflix, and more, enabling users to access content from all their preferred sources. Users can control media playback on different devices, including smart TVs, speakers, and mobile devices, regardless of the device's brand or platform.
Tech stack: AWS (EKS), Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Flux, Istio, GRPC, Bitbucket, Prometheus, Grafana, Distributed SQL DB, Helm
Responsibilities:
- Deploying Docker images to AWS, with a focus on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Collaborating with developers in ensuring smooth deployment processes.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication between the DevOps team and developers.
- Working closely with developers on a daily basis to address their needs and anticipate potential issues.
- Explaining and educating developers on concepts such as liveness and readiness probes.
- Working with GRPC for client communication.
- Adapting to and contributing to the technology stack, which includes application balancers, distributed SQL databases, and other cutting-edge technologies.
- Advising developers on deploying Helm charts to different environments.
- Recommending best practices for ensuring seamless integration with deployment processes.
- Implementing and monitoring Canary deployments, providing insights and experience in this area.
- Developing strategies to ensure the health and performance of various services, potentially using tools like Estio for service mesh management.
- Collaborating with the team in managing a technology stack that includes Bitbucket, Prometheus, Grafana, and other key components.
- Monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of the deployed services.
Requirements:
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role for 3+ years.
- Strong background in deploying Docker containers, particularly on AWS and EKS.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins, and GitOps tools such as Flux.
- Familiarity with identity provider integration and Service Mesh technologies, particularly Istio.
- Expertise in GRPC and working with a diverse technology stack.
- Experience with Canary deployments and service monitoring.
- Proficiency in technologies like Bitbucket, Prometheus, Grafana, and related monitoring and stack management tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with development teams.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

- Ability to explain complex concepts to developers and provide guidance on deployment processes.
