Associate 3 / Manager (Financial Sector), Transaction Services, Deal Advisory

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate 3 / Manager for Transaction Services to join our Deal Advisory team in Almaty / Astana / Tashkent.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence services with focusing mainly on financial sector
• Manage and coordinate approach of client, KPMG's engagement teams, and third party diligence providers throughout the transaction process

• Conduct risk management tasks, including defining the scope, drafting engagement letters, and establishing project budgets
• Evaluate reports and prepare key summary section
• Support clients in structuring deals, participating in negotiations, and handling documentation
• Collaborate with tax diligence, valuations diligence, and commercial diligence teams for the planning and execution of shared projects

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in transaction services / M&A advisory / financial audit, including applicable experience in the financial sector (FS) (experience in the Big 4 or a similar professional firm is preferable)
• Relevant bachelor's degree and licensed ACCA or CPA certification is preferable
• Extensive experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and / or partners towards the successful completion of a project
• Experience of financial due diligence is highly regarded, though we would consider candidates with experience of managing advisory or transaction related engagement or with other skills and the aptitude to learn
• Strong current knowledge in the following: financial reporting issues, IFRS, M&A process
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Russian
• Robust analytical and leadership skills, ability to work under pressure
• Proficient Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills desired
