Associate 3 / Manager (Financial Sector), Transaction Services, Deal Advisory

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate 3 / Manager for Transaction Services to join our Deal Advisory team in Almaty, Astana, or Tashkent. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, focusing primarily on the financial sector. As our Associate 3 / Manager (Transaction Services), you will:

• Transaction Management: Manage buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence services with a focus mainly on the financial sector.
• Coordination: Manage and coordinate the approach of clients, KPMG's engagement teams, and third-party diligence providers throughout the transaction process.
• Risk Management: Conduct risk management tasks, including defining the scope, drafting engagement letters, and establishing project budgets.
• Reporting: Evaluate reports and prepare key summary sections.
• Deal Structuring: Support clients in structuring deals, participating in negotiations, and handling documentation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with tax diligence, valuations diligence, and commercial diligence teams for the planning and execution of shared projects.

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

• Have 5+ years of experience in transaction services / M&A advisory / financial audit, including applicable experience in the financial sector (experience in the Big 4 or a similar professional firm is preferable).
• Possess a relevant bachelor's degree and licensed ACCA or CPA certification (preferable).
• Demonstrate extensive experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project.
• Have experience in financial due diligence (highly regarded), though we would consider candidates with experience in managing advisory or transaction-related engagements or with other skills and the aptitude to learn.
• Exhibit strong current knowledge in financial reporting issues, IFRS, and the M&A process.
• Have fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Russian.
• Show robust analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
